Annotation

The author of the article analyzes the political media space in which the convergence model is implemented technical devices(gadgets), professionalism based on convergent formats for content generation, and the prerequisites are created for interaction and interpenetration already at the level of components of the media system. Media convergence, according to the author, is the merging of a person with modern communication technology and information technology. As the structure and, accordingly, the capabilities of virtual networks become more complex, the political space will also become more capacious and multidimensional. In the minds of recipients receiving converged content from the virtual space, a feeling of the virtual field as really existing will appear. Thus, the author believes, the political media space begins to exist not only in real, but also in virtual content. The author of the article proves that the global systemic restructuring of the information and communication sphere is accompanied by the virtualization of the political media space at different levels. This multidimensional process is sometimes perceived and interpreted by researchers ambiguously. The author examines some features of the process of virtualization of the political media space, which is experiencing extremely rapid - in comparison with the lagging theoretical and methodological reflection - changes in the processes noted in the article.

Not long ago, Beeline (my main operator) announced a new attraction of unprecedented generosity - “free” wired Internet. I liked the special group of “all in one” tariffs - the fact is that my entire connection is tied to Beeline. And if I used to pay for the Internet, now I can save money. And 400 rubles a month is already 4600 rubles a year. Why not try it?


I chose the tariff based on my needs for mobile Internet. The speed of wired Internet is not interesting to me - more than 20-30 Mbit/s is only needed if you run your own web server, but without mobile internet can’t do it, especially since I have 4 additional devices connected to one balance (2 parent’s mobile phones and 2 tablets, by the way, I used to spend about 1000 rubles/month on this too). At the same time, I don’t watch TV.

I couldn’t fit into the most “compact” tariff, so I chose the “All in one for 801” option, which still turned out to be cheaper than my previous “All in one for 900”, which included the same 7 GB of Internet -traffic, but without home Internet.

Having chosen a tariff, I left it on the operator’s website. Literally a few hours later they called me back, asked questions about the same things that I wrote about in the application, and were taken aback by the fact that the paid part of the previous tariff would be lost (I paid only a couple of days ago, I was offended, but, as it turned out, the consultant I got it mixed up), and they also said that you need to sign an additional agreement to transfer to this tariff, so nothing will work out without a visit to the office. Well, I've been waiting for this - after all, wired and wireless internet They are clearly located in different legal entities, and in order to receive data and continue to provide services, my consent is required.

I went to the nearest Beeline communication store, where I was greeted by friendly employees wearing new T-shirts with raccoons (unfortunately, the employees refused to be photographed). Of course, when they heard about the convergent tariff, something like “God, why me, for what?” began to be read on their faces. But there was nowhere to go, and the bearded and stern consultant Yegor took over my translation.

For about 20 minutes he stared gloomily at the screen, occasionally pressing buttons. At the same time, in a small branch on Prospekt Mira in Moscow there was one computer, so people who came to pay for the Internet could not do this. To be honest, I could not even imagine that SO MANY people, including young people, pay for services mobile operator at the box office. Over the past time, about a dozen of them have gathered!


Meanwhile, changes began to occur with the phone. First, an SMS about changing the tariff, then the balance sharply went into the negative for the cost of the subscription. Of course, my calls were blocked, and I asked the stern consultant Yegor what I should do. He just looked at me and called the girl, who assured me that in a couple of hours everything would be fine, the money would be counted and returned. Also, the girl gave me an additional agreement that came out of the printer, which mainly contained legal nuances of transferring subscriber data. I signed the additional agreement, and since I didn’t want to be left without communication in the real world for two hours, I added more money to the cost of the subscription.

After a couple of hours, when no visible changes occurred with the balance, I climbed into personal account. The picture that appeared to me there was sad - in the mobile phone there was a tariff plan “Everything for 800” (and not for 800+, which included wired Internet), in the wired one my old tariff plan “Everything to the house for 450” was still hanging. As it turned out later, it was precisely this tariff, which already implied a combination of home Internet and mobile communications, and ruined all plans - the consultant in the salon saw that my personal accounts were combined, and either did not carry out the merger again, or did everything as - that's not true.

Then I did what every geek who doesn’t like to talk on the phone does - I wrote about what happened on Facebook. I must say that Beeline’s support on social networks is excellent - literally the next day after the mention, a consultant knocked on my door, asked for my number, and assured me that everything would be fine.

After a couple of days everything was not going well, so I started calling. Every time I called, I felt panic immediately after the words “convergent tariff”. “Oh, I’ll switch you now!” - the telephone consultants said and played music for me.

Offtopic: someday I will collect all the music that hangs on the stands and plays in the background at airports, record it on disk, and call this collection “personal hell.” There will be a Sber tune, “Let My People Go” from Alpha Bank, and annoying drums from the Delhi airport.

The convergence service seemed to be popular - the wait was at least 10 minutes each time. In the end, after retelling my story five times, they assured me that everything would be fine since the shift manager himself was looking after me, they once again promised to call me back, and hung up. And I began to wait again.

What's the saying like? Promising doesn't mean getting married? This happened this time too. At the end of the second week of my smooth transition to convergence, I wrote another post on Facebook. This time, my fellow journalists began to mention everyone, including Slobodin (CEO of Beeline). Apparently this had a magical effect. In the end, another Beeline consultant came to comment and promised me that everything would be fine. And, you won’t believe it, literally a couple of days later, when I had completely lost hope, money for the last reporting period poured into my account, and the tariff plan magically switched to “All for 801”.

In total, the transition to the convergent tariff took me about two weeks. I went through a difficult journey - from an application on the website, through the Acheron of signing an additional agreement (where the bearded consultant Egor became my Charon), through the stormy waters of calls (in total - about 1.5 hours). Was it worth the 4,600 rubles saved per year? Perhaps not, but it gave me the opportunity to write this blog post.

Now everything works almost well, and balances are even displayed in your personal account. True, now I can’t switch tariffs online (that’s right, why would I do that?), and see the consumed traffic by wired internet too (I'll trample). The main thing is that the roaming options work correctly, otherwise I will go broke with this convergent tariff when traveling.

In general, if you switch to a convergent tariff, get ready for difficulties. And yet, I can assure you that they can be overcome.

In July 2017, Beeline updated its prices for the population, introducing a new tariff network “Everyone”. These tariff plans allow you to call Beeline subscribers throughout Russia, and also provide access to the mobile Internet. Now we will discuss the next representative of the line - “All 3” Beeline.

Briefly about everything

The subscription fee in the package is 900 rubles per month. This price includes calls to Beeline numbers for 1200 minutes not only in your home region, but throughout the entire territory of the Russian Federation. But it is necessary to take into account that these minutes can be spent when listening to voice messages during forwarding, and the remaining time at the end of the month is not transferred to a future period, but burns out.

In addition to calls, the operator has connected to “All 3” a package of messages - 500 SMS, which can be sent to subscribers of any operators.

Another component of the package is mobile traffic. The volume of traffic in the tariff is 10 GB, so it will be enough not only to check email, but also to use social networks, and even more - this will also be enough to listen to audio compositions online.

To optimize costs for mobile communications, Beeline recommends connecting additional services to your number that improve the quality of use of the basic options of the tariff package.

After the main volume of traffic has been exhausted, the Internet speed does not change, thanks to the automatically connected “Auto-speed renewal” option: for 150 rub. 5 GB of additional traffic is provided. Usually this option is disabled, since it is quite expensive than Highway or Extend Speed ​​services.
