Date of the September presentation of Apple.

The September presentation of Apple in 2018 will be very eventful. The company presents three new smartphones at once: iPhone 9 , iPhone 11 and , two with support for the unique Face ID feature, with a significantly larger display and rumored to be the new most affordable computer. But when exactly will the presentation take place? Today, experts from the CNET publication named the most likely date, which coincided with our old prediction .

CNET specialists studied the dates of Apple presentations in previous years. Based on the information received, they gave a clear forecast: Apple's September 2018 presentation will take place on September 12. There is a simple and logical explanation for this choice.

Over the past few years, Apple has consistently held presentations of new iPhones in the first half of September. At the same time, the company shows new items only on Tuesday or Wednesday. According to these clarifications, Apple's presentation could take place on September 4, 5, 11 or 12. But:

  • September 4 and 5 are excluded due to the fact that in the same week, on Monday, September 3, Labor Day is celebrated in the United States. Over the past six years, Apple has never held a presentation during the week of this holiday.
  • 9/11 is excluded due to mourning for the 2001 attacks.

Thus, only September 12 remains. the site previously predicted the presentation of the new iPhone 2018 on this day twice.

The presentation of the Apple iPhone 8, which will officially announce the new iPhones, will be held on September 12 at 20:00 Moscow time. Kanobu will hold a live broadcast in Russian, during which you will learn all the most important things: specifications, the official release date of the iPhone 8 in Russia and prices in rubles.

You can watch the broadcast of the iPhone 8 presentation on our website or on YouTube, it starts a little earlier than the conference itself, at 19:45 Moscow time. Here's everything we already know about the iPhone 8 and other new products.

What will be shown at the Apple presentation?

First of all - new smartphones: iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X, which is commonly called the "eighth". Apparently, we will not see the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus - in 2017, Apple celebrates the anniversary of its most popular device, so they decided to abandon the usual scheme.

In addition to iPhones, the presentation will most likely show new model Apple Watch 3, wireless headphones AirPods 2, iPod Touch 7 and iOS 11.

What's new in iPhone 8?

Apple's new smartphones are equipped with a new generation A11 processor and use a fundamentally new design - the iPhone 8 (or iPhone X) is expected to have a screen in the entire front panel, with the exception of a slight "influx" at the top edge.

Because of this, the new iPhone will not have a Home button, it will be replaced by the on-screen Home, which will be able to perceive not only pressing, but also gestures. As you know, Apple abandoned physical button even in the iPhone 7, in the current model, under the screen there is a round platform with a fingerprint sensor, pressing which imitates the Taptic Engine vibration motor.

The iPhone 8 won't have a fingerprint sensor or a headphone jack either. For safe unlocking, according to rumors, the system of ultrasonic face recognition of the owner is responsible.

What's new in iOS 11?

In iOS 11 for the first time in 10 years of the existence of the operating system will appear file manager, which will allow you to save files in the memory of your smartphone (or tablet) and move them between folders. In addition, the Files app will have built-in integration with iCloud and Dropbox cloud services, so it will be convenient to move documents, photos and other files between devices in the Apple ecosystem through it.

Also in iOS 11 will be an updated shutter "Control Center" and the Dock, the shortcut icons in which you can customize as you wish.

The camera software, iTunes, App Store will also be redesigned, the iPad will have the function of launching two applications on one screen.

Apple has sent invitations to an event on September 12 where it is expected to unveil new additions to its iPhone lineup.

In typical cryptic fashion, Apple provided scant hints in the invitation that the presentation would take place at the Steve Jobs Theater on its spaceship campus in the Silicon Valley city of Cupertino.

The invitations had the words "Get Together" under a large gold circle.

The speculation includes talk that Apple has introduced three new iPhone models, adding some of the features from the premium iPhone X, which debuted last year with a thousand-dollar price tag.

The only thing left to announce is the date of the iPhone announcement itself. Apple sent out invitations to its fall iPhone events at the end of August. But given that it's still a week or two away, we'll still have to wait a bit before we know when Apple will introduce its new line 2018.

However, we all take a risk and try to predict the date ourselves. Based on previous event dates, the consensus is that Apple is likely to have something planned during the first two weeks of September, either Tuesday or Wednesday. Nearly every iPhone announcement in the past decade has met these criteria.

Apple historically holds September events to showcase new iPhone models, and this year the company is expected to stay true to that course. How will the company surprise us in 2018?

iPhone XS

Rumor has it that the successor to the Apple iPhone X will be called the iPhone XS. There are no surprises, although apparently Apple wasn't completely convinced by the name, because XS could mean either another smaller version of the previous model, or an excess in numbers.

We figured out the names, now let's talk about varieties. There will be three versions of this phone. Two high-end models with OLED screens, one of which will be a Plus model, and one cheaper model with an LCD display. All three new models will be stamped with the required Face ID technology, which means there is no longer a home button.

iPad Pro

It's been almost a year since the last iPad Pro update, and Apple is expected to update it at its September event.

Like the iPhone, newer iPad models are expected to use Face ID rather than Touch ID, so we won't see a home button on the new iPad Pro. You can also expect the 10.5in version to be replaced by the 11in model - the screen will be larger thanks to smaller bezels, but there won't be a significant change in size.

Apple Watch Series 4

The Apple Watch is also expected to be updated. It looks like it will have a larger display, but thanks to reduced bezels rather than increasing its size.

It is also expected that the side button and digital crown will be modified so that the watch can be more water resistant.

air power

It's been a year since Apple promised it would launch AirPower, a wireless charging mat that can be used with iPhones, Apple Watches, and AirPods. Will the ghost rug finally launch? It looks like it. (let's face it, if it doesn't, it will be a blow to Apple's reputation!)

iOS 12 and macOS 14

The September event will also have something that Apple will confirm when latest version iOS (in this case, iOS 12) and macOS (Mojave) will become available to the public in their final form.

The operating systems are currently in beta testing, which was announced earlier at WWDC 2018. They will most likely be available for download before the end of September.

Possible new products

There are a lot of different products in the Apple pipeline. What do we expect to see new in it in the near future? We expect to find out either at the September or at the second event in October.

AirPods

It's possible that the new AirPods will launch alongside the AirPower mat - two years after Apple's wireless earbuds first appeared. Although rumors point to a bigger update in 2019, with better water resistance.

Macbook Air

Macbook Air hasn't been updated since 2015 and it looks like Apple will close this model soon. When that happens, it looks like Apple will introduce a new 13-inch Mac laptop for the same price of around £1,000/$1,000.

Whether it will be a MacBook Air or a 13-inch MacBook remains to be seen, but it appears to be a change to the Air.

macbook

In any case, we are waiting for the MacBook update. Perhaps Apple introduced the 13-inch MacBook to sit next to the 12in version. And if that happens, the range entry price could drop. We expect the 12-inch MacBook to start at £200 or more, dropping its price so it starts at £1,000/$1,000.

Mac mini

The Mac mini is no longer loved by Apple, and like the MacBook Air, it has remained untouched since 2014. Hopefully it gets some attention soon - rumors suggest it will - though it's possible we won't see this update until 2019.

iMac

It makes sense that Apple would introduce updates to its range of iMacs before the end of the year. Like Macbook Pro, they should get more cores - these are six-core, not quad-core processors. In fact, we might even see a variant with eight cores!

Also, in 2018, he turned twenty years old, so this is the best time to update, we think so.

iPhone SE 2

Not as likely, but there have been rumors that the iPhone SE might see an update. This popular iPhone is the smallest and cheapest mobile phone.

However, most "cheap" iPhone rumors seem to point to a cheaper version of the iPhone X, and we think it will still be quite expensive. If you're hoping for a new 4in model, you might be wondering that a code has come up indicating that new phone may come with older iPhone processor 7 and it could very well be an SE update.

HomePod mini

Finally, it's been almost a year since the HomePod went on sale, so we're not expecting anything just yet, but there have been a few rumors that Apple will launch a cheaper, smaller HomePod.
