CNET specialists studied the dates of Apple presentations in previous years. Based on the information received, they gave a clear forecast: Apple's September 2018 presentation will take place on September 12. There is a simple and logical explanation for this choice.
Over the past few years, Apple has consistently held presentations of new iPhones in the first half of September. At the same time, the company shows new items only on Tuesday or Wednesday. According to these clarifications, Apple's presentation could take place on September 4, 5, 11 or 12. But:
- September 4 and 5 are excluded due to the fact that in the same week, on Monday, September 3, Labor Day is celebrated in the United States. Over the past six years, Apple has never held a presentation during the week of this holiday.
- 9/11 is excluded due to mourning for the 2001 attacks.

What will be shown at the Apple presentation?

What's new in iPhone 8?
Apple's new smartphones are equipped with a new generation A11 processor and use a fundamentally new design - the iPhone 8 (or iPhone X) is expected to have a screen in the entire front panel, with the exception of a slight "influx" at the top edge.
Because of this, the new iPhone will not have a Home button, it will be replaced by the on-screen Home, which will be able to perceive not only pressing, but also gestures. As you know, Apple abandoned physical button even in the iPhone 7, in the current model, under the screen there is a round platform with a fingerprint sensor, pressing which imitates the Taptic Engine vibration motor.
The iPhone 8 won't have a fingerprint sensor or a headphone jack either. For safe unlocking, according to rumors, the system of ultrasonic face recognition of the owner is responsible.
What's new in iOS 11?
In iOS 11 for the first time in 10 years of the existence of the operating system will appear file manager, which will allow you to save files in the memory of your smartphone (or tablet) and move them between folders. In addition, the Files app will have built-in integration with iCloud and Dropbox cloud services, so it will be convenient to move documents, photos and other files between devices in the Apple ecosystem through it.
Also in iOS 11 will be an updated shutter "Control Center" and the Dock, the shortcut icons in which you can customize as you wish.

iPhone XS
Rumor has it that the successor to the Apple iPhone X will be called the iPhone XS. There are no surprises, although apparently Apple wasn't completely convinced by the name, because XS could mean either another smaller version of the previous model, or an excess in numbers.

Two high-end models with OLED screens, one of which will be a Plus model, and one cheaper model with an LCD display. iPad Pro
It's been almost a year since the last iPad Pro update, and Apple is expected to update it at its September event.
