How long does it take for a registered letter? How long does it take for a registered letter with notification? How long will the parcel take?

Even those whose entire life today is connected to the Internet and electronic correspondence cannot do without the services of traditional postal service. After all, it is impossible to send original documents on paper in any other way, nor is it possible to send a message to relatives who have not yet made friends with the World Wide Web in any other way. And there are many more such examples - it’s impossible to list them all. Accordingly, the first question is: how long there's a letter coming by mail within Russia? How to calculate the deadline for receiving a letter by the addressee? After all, a beautiful card is important just for the holiday, and not in a week or two!

Therefore, let’s try to figure out together how long a letter is sent by Russian Post within the city, and how long between districts within the Russian Federation.

Delivery deadlines and whether they are strictly observed

It should be noted right away that today there are control dates approved for transfers via mail. They mean the time period that was required to move the postal item between the post office that accepted the letter to the office that should issue it to the recipient.

You can focus on these deadlines, but take into account that they may well be increased. For example, to calculate how many days a letter travels by mail across Russia is necessary without the day the item is received by the post office from the sender.

Now about specific target dates that will help you calculate the minimum, how long does it take for a 1st class letter by Russian Post?. The Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated March 24, 2006 states that:

  • for intracity delivery in federal cities, 2 days are allotted;
  • 2 days are also provided for the transmission of correspondence between the administrative center and the districts on its territory;
  • for the transfer of items between the administrative center of the municipality and the villages in the territories of its districts, at least 3 days are required;
  • for the transfer of postal correspondence between those settlements that belong to different municipalities, the control deadline for the transfer of items is calculated by summing up the individual, corresponding deadlines.

1 day of departure plus 2 working days of transfer between post offices and plus a day for delivery to the address. This turns out to be a minimum of 4 calendar days (provided that this period does not fall on an official holiday).

First class refers to expedited domestic shipments, therefore, when calculating how long it takes for an urgent letter to arrive by mail in Russia, the deadlines listed above are adhered to.

How much cheaper is it to send a letter first class?

In fact, the delivery speed of such an item is higher than a regular shipment, since the sorting of correspondence is accelerated (it is done directly at the post office, and not at a sorting unit). In addition, it occurs only through air travel. However, how long it takes for a letter to travel by express mail in Russia can be affected by various factors (force majeure caused by natural disasters or the number of collection points), but one thing is for sure that first class mail deliveries are approximately 30% faster, than “simple” letters reach.

Hello dear friends and readers of my blog! Today I will touch on a super mega important topic for those who like to buy in China.

I will share with you information about how much parcel is coming from China to Russia. Agree that this question is quite important, because we all want to get our parcels as quickly as possible. I’ll also tell you a little secret when you shouldn’t order from the Chinese, so as not to wait for a very, very long time.

What is the cause of all the troubles

Hardworking Chinese work at China Post day and night and still do not have time to process all the influx of applications. After all, it’s not just you and me who buy in China, but if you take into account all the other transport burden that falls on the post office... It’s enough to remember how “lightning fast” our valiant Russian post works and then all the questions will disappear by themselves.

The average delivery time for parcels to Russia is neither more nor less 20 calendar days. (Using the example of a store Aliexpress) I repeat - this is on average. It happens more, but less is very rare. My order reached me in 14 days, but the longest one took 40 days. When ordering a product, be sure to pay attention to the “shipping time” line. This is the time during which the seller is guaranteed to take your precious purchase to the post office, and there they will begin to process it.

Main stages

Collection and dispatch of the order by the seller usually takes from 3 to 7 days. Some craftsmen can send more than two weeks.

Reception by the delivery service of a shipment with an order - the parcel arrives at the post office and is assigned a tracking number (read what it is and why you need it).

Export is the time when your package leaves Chinese customs. The most important and dangerous moment because... here the parcel may be delayed for up to 30 – 60 days. After export, the order will move to you much faster.

Import and customs clearance - your goods are already in Russia. Usually the Russian customs service processes the order within 3 working days.

Delivery by Russian Post to the recipient - here the time is very difficult to calculate, due to complex logistics. Maximum 2 weeks.

Receipt of the order - as soon as the order reaches the place of receipt, you are required to receive a notification, although you can do without notification. The package with your purchases is stored at the post office for 30 days, then it can be sent back. Don't miss out!

Now I’m sharing with you a little secret about the time when you shouldn’t order goods from China. During the Chinese New Year celebration, none of the Chinese work - everyone runs happily to celebrate this wonderful holiday. Postal workers are no exception. If you fall into the holiday period, your purchase may be delayed for a couple of months in China. The most interesting thing is that the date of the celebration of the Chinese New Year is moving and, accordingly, it is celebrated every year on different days.

Experience shows that goods arrive the fastest in summer, because transportation is carried out on direct flights, not transit.

Another factor that can seriously affect the speed at which your goods arrive is customs. Here the parcel may be delayed for up to 2 months. It depends on your luck. Customs is a delicate matter... Everything is clear here.

The speed of delivery directly depends on what postal service you will give preference. DHL and EMS will deliver your parcel to you at lightning speed, but they will also ask you for a price that is 3 times the cost of the purchase itself. With the help of EMS, the wedding dress reached me in 13 days (delivery cost 2,500 rubles - I was very lucky). Usually I use free service China Post or Singapore.

Let's sum it up

Try to remember the following points, which can significantly affect the speed of delivery in the negative direction:

  • Time of dispatch of goods
  • Holidays when the post office is closed
  • Customs

As you can understand from this article, no one will give you the exact time of arrival of the parcel from China. Just hope for the best!

Bye everyone! Don't forget to subscribe to blog updates!

Sincerely, Natalya Melnikova!

The delivery time for a registered letter depends, first of all, on the region of delivery and can range from 3-4 to 10-17 days to distant regions of Russia.

Within the same city registered letter it should take no more than 2 days, excluding the day of sending (usually from 5 days), even if the addressee lives on the next street. To cities such as Elista, Anadyr, Gorno-Altaisk, Grozny, Yoshkar-Ola, Kyzyl, Nazran, Syktyvkar, registered letters will take more than a week, and delivery to villages and small towns will take a few more days.

What is a registered letter

This is a category of postal item that is accepted for shipment from the sender under the responsibility of the postal administration, which guarantees delivery, with the issuance of a receipt to the sender and delivery to the recipient against signature

How long it takes for a registered letter also depends on the shipping method

Via mail

A letter marked “registered” is issued by postal employees by handing it over to the cashier. The sender receives a receipt, and the recipient receives a registered letter against signature. If the letter does not reach the addressee, a receipt confirming the submission of the letter is of great importance: it may be useful during legal proceedings, so it must be kept.
The main advantage of a registered letter is that it can be tracked online, that is, you can find out about its location at any time. When sent, each letter marked “registered” is assigned an individual number (barcode), by which it can be identified. This is very important because registered mail usually contains documents, tax reports, receipts, photographs. It is estimated that more than 112 million registered letters pass through state post offices every day.

Cost of postal services

Sending a registered letter weighing up to 20 g will cost you 28.50 rubles. Additional payment for each subsequent 20 g of weight – 1.25 rubles. The maximum permissible weight is 100 g (at post offices). So, a registered letter weighing 100 g will cost 33.50 rubles.

Using a courier service.

If registered mail is delivered with return receipt requested, the sender receives a receipt upon receipt of the letter by the addressee. Notification can be simple (cost 13.45 rubles) or registered (33.04 rubles). Sending a registered letter weighing up to 20 g to foreign countries will cost 77.88 rubles. by land transport and 81.07 rubles. by air mode of transport. Tariffs for letters weighing 100 g are 107.62 and 123.31 rubles.

If a letter marked “registered” is sent without notification, the addressee will learn about its arrival by means of a notification sent to the mailbox. If no one comes for the letter within 5 days, the post office sends a second notification to the addressee, which is handed to him against signature. From this moment, after delivery of the secondary notice, the post office has the right to demand that the addressee pay for each subsequent day of storage of the letter.

Registered letter is a type of written correspondence weighing up to 100 grams. This shipment is registered. This means that all information about the letter is entered into postal system, the shipment is assigned a unique tracking number, and the sender, after processing the shipment, receives a receipt (cheque).

The letter is delivered personally to the addressee against signature or to his authorized representative. To receive registered mail, the addressee must present an identity card (passport) to the postal employee and fill out a notice or, if a simple electronic signature(PEP), you can receive an envelope using the access code from SMS.

In addition to the shipping price, Russian Post clients are interested in the question of how long it takes for a registered letter.

A decree of the Government of the Russian Federation in 2006 approved control deadlines for sending written correspondence. According to the document, the delivery time of letters and parcels between settlements, as well as within their boundaries, is strictly regulated. Russian Post, being a national postal operator, is responsible for meeting deadlines.

Delivery time for registered mail

Deadline for sending a registered letter (the day of receipt is not taken into account):

  • between cities of federal significance, administrative centers of constituent entities of the Russian Federation - see the tables below;
  • on the territory of cities of federal significance, on the territory of administrative centers of constituent entities of the Russian Federation - 2 days;
  • between the administrative center of a subject of the Russian Federation and the center of the municipal district of this subject - 2 days;
  • between the administrative center of the municipal district and settlements located on the territory of the district - 3 days.

To calculate the duration of delivery between settlements included in different municipal districts, located both on the territory of one constituent entity of the Russian Federation and on the territory of different constituent entities of the Russian Federation, it is necessary to summarize the corresponding control periods (example below).

Example: let's calculate how many days it takes for a registered letter from the village. Radishchevo (Kuznetsky district, Penza region) in the city of Toguchin (administrative center of the Toguchinsky district of the Novosibirsk region).

Radishchevo Kuznetsk(3 days) + Kuznetsk Penza(2) + Penza Novosibirsk(6) + Novosibirsk Toguchin(2) = 13 days

Control deadlines for the delivery of registered letters between federal cities and administrative centers of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation:

  • To enlarge the picture, click on it;
  • To make it easier to find a city in the columns of the table, each settlement is assigned a number that matches the city number in the rows.

Some Russian Post clients are interested in how long it takes for a registered letter with notification or an urgent registered letter.

On the first question, the answer is obvious - exactly the same as other written correspondence. The presence of a delivery notice does not have any impact on the duration of delivery of the postal item to the addressee.

Regarding the second question, there is no such thing as an “urgent letter” at Russian Post. If you need your shipment to reach the recipient faster, send a 1st class registered letter (delivered mainly by air) or an express letter via the EMS courier service.
