By and large, it’s hard for me to blame him for the fact that I very quickly said goodbye to the amount of 40 UAH. On the one hand, I overlooked this. But on the other hand, the operator used the hackneyed “small print” technique, which I fell for.

So, for certain purposes, I bought myself the widely advertised “Super MTS 3D Zero” package. It costs 10 UAH. You transfer 40 UAH to your account and subscribe to this tariff plan. If you don’t call or write SMS anywhere, then this money remains in the account. No subscription or connection fees. In short - super!

And suddenly I discover that money begins to disappear from my account. What's happened?

The fact is that I put the SIM card in a very ancient model mobile phone, which can only make calls and SMS.

I started receiving some SMS messages from MTS, the content of which consisted of question marks.

I decided that this was some kind of spam from the company, offering services, etc.

A couple of times I accidentally pressed the wrong buttons (an ancient phone and everything was done inconveniently), and performed some unpredictable actions. When I discovered that the amount in the account had decreased, I decided that this was due to my erroneous actions.

However, after some time, I noticed that the amount continued to decrease even when I did not use the phone at all. (It was even turned off.)

I found out what was going on by calling their call center.

Keyword GOODOK

It turns out that this very “Super MTS 3 Zero” package includes the GOODOK service (I didn’t even delve into what it was - what kind of ringtone it was, and obviously not for ancient mobile phones).

After activating the package - this service enabled by default And the first month is free. And then the fee for it is deducted from the account automatically almost the size 10 UAH and - how it turns out - without the knowledge of the account owner, unless explicitly disabled.

The SMS messages with question marks that I received but could not read, as I understood, were precisely on this topic. It was just mentioned there that I “use” paid service GOODOK and provided information on what needs to be done to cancel this service.

To cancel the GOODOK service, you need to send an SMS with the text OFF to number 700.

And this information is also indicated on the website on the page of this tariff, but in small print (of course, not because of usability), and as the call center employee told me, also on the packaging of the starter pack (which I have, of course, where something is lying around and I don’t know where.)

That's how I fell for the bait of the cunning MTS operator.

True, I was supposed to lose 30 UAH (in 3 months), but I lost almost 40. That is, almost 10 UAH more just like that. But for now I don’t want to bother and find out where.

I turned off the service, and the call center employee assured me that I should not have any other “hidden” expenses. Well, I’ll believe it, but I’ll check it later.

Nowadays it is difficult to find a person who has never used the services mobile communications or doesn't know what it is. Moreover, a fairly large percentage of the Ukrainian population uses the networks of more than one operator. The motivation is simple - cheaper, better coverage, the desire to be constantly in touch... Mobile operators in Ukraine are also trying to increase the number of subscribers, mainly through promotions and special tariffs. One of these tariffs will be discussed in this article.

Tariff Super MTS 3 D 0 preliminary information

The tariff is valid in all regions of Ukraine without any restrictions or additional conditions. You can connect in two ways:

Tariff Super MTS 3 D 0. Pitfalls

Firstly, happy owners of the new starter package should pay attention to the fact that the price of the package itself includes the GOODOK ringtone (free for a 30-day period from the date of activation of your purchase). After the end of the specified period, the validity period of the “BOOK” will be regularly extended for periods of 30 days until the subscriber refuses this melody. It is important to know that after the expiration of the free month, a fee for using this service begins to be charged equal to 9 UAH. 56 kopecks/month. (including VAT and Pension Fund) until your personal refusal of the melody. To cancel the service, you need to send an SMS (text - OFF) to the operator number 700.

Secondly, at the end of 30 minutes of calls (30 SMS, 30 MB of Internet), the tariffs for the service change sharply.

Thirdly, a one-time payment to activate the tariff must be at least 40 UAH, 20 and another hour later 20 UAH again will not activate anything.

Now about the pleasant things

To encourage regular subscribers of this service package, MTS introduces so-called “special conditions”, which allow, while remaining an MTS subscriber for a certain period, to increase the volume of services provided without changing tariffs. More specific information can be obtained by examining Table 2 below:

But even here there are some pitfalls. When using special conditions, the fee for free minutes calls, SMS and Internet traffic are charged daily, regardless of whether you used the tariff services or not. Therefore, if you want to return to the basic tariff indicated in table 1, simply send a free SMS to number 555 (by typing 0 as a text - to disable all special services at the same time, 1 - to disable special minutes, 2 - to disable only special SMS , 3 - to disable special traffic for Internet use) and you will spend money in the basic mode - only on the day of using the service.

Conclusion: Studying the tariff left mixed impressions. On the one hand, a fairly loyal tariff with minimal payments for services, and on the other hand, the basic volume of services is enough only for a very undemanding user. If you want (using special conditions) to expand the scope of services provided by the MTS operator, you will have to subscribe to special conditions and accept the hidden subscription fee- 0.37 UAH/day for one service (for example calls), or 0.37x2+1.06=1.8 UAH/day for all three services presented in Table 2. How and in what configuration to use this package, It's up to you to decide.

Mobile communications have become an integral part of modern life, which is why telecom operators make offers such as the MTS “Super Zero” tariff. Actually it's a whole series packages with different conditions, which are united no monthly fee and cheap calls. Most of these offers are made by a company in Ukraine, but Russia does not stand aside, offering its economical tariff “Super MTS 082013” for connection from 2013 to 2014.

Such different savings

Today, MTS “Super Zero” tariffs without a subscription fee have almost completely gone into the archives. The operator does not offer to switch to them, but those who have already been connected can still enjoy services at a low cost. The line of Super MTS services included the following:

"3D zero";
"3D zero Center";
“no connection fee and top-ups 0-35”;
"Plus".

They were united by the absence of fees for communicating with subscribers within the network and free SMS.

The “Super MTS 3d zero” tariff offered complete unlimited calls, only a small fee was charged per day of use. Similar conditions are present in the “zero Center” kit, and it was even cheaper than the previous one.

But “zero 35,” although it allows you to communicate with MTS and Vodafone subscribers for free, but sets a limit of 3,000 minutes per month within the connection region, and 30 per day for numbers in other regions. Also, according to the terms of the offer, you can send no more than 30 free SMS per day.

Mobile Internet in all these offers is limited - only 200 megabytes per day. But it is possible to connect additional traffic with the option “500 MB for 15 UAH,” and the number of activations is limited to ten per day. But the speed depends only on the capabilities of your phone or smartphone.

Description of options and cost of “Super Zero” services

Although these packages have a lot in common, they also have differences, so it makes sense to take a closer look at each. For example, the tariff, albeit archival, "Super MTS 3D zero" still offers its subscribers the following:

Unlimited calls to the network throughout Ukraine for 1 hryvnia per day or 2 (subject to additional conditions).
Communication with subscribers of other operators in the country and to landline numbers costs 1.5 UAH. per minute (or 44 kopecks with the “25 minutes to landline numbers” option).
For 1.5 UAH/day, Smart Messenger is activated and gives unlimited access to Viber, Skype and other similar programs.
SMS and MMS for hryvnia per piece, if you have exhausted the package limit.
International communication will cost 1 UAH/min for mobile phones and 25 kopecks per 60 seconds for landline numbers.
If you connect “3D 0 wholesale”, then for 30 UAH/month. you get rid of daily charges for on-net calls.
Internet will cost 5 hryvnia per day of use (no more than 200 MB) or another 15 hryvnia. for every 500 megabytes additionally.

This package is not available for migration from February 2017. All “Super Zero MTS” services have been archived, the tariff description is for informational purposes only.

A similar proposal comes from another deactivated“Center” kit, with the only difference that calls to subscribers of other networks will cost 60 kopecks, but the first 5 minutes/day will cost 2 hryvnia. This applies only to mobile numbers; landline numbers are the same as in the previous description.

Another archive

Tariff Super zero ( no connection fee and top-ups 0-35) also ceased to exist this year. Since February, it has been offering users a free upgrade to any of the available ones, with the first month of use coming as a gift.

In case of refusal to transfer, the company will independently make the change and cancellation cash on an additional account.

As for the services of this “Zero” offer, they were as follows:

Calls within the region to numbers on the network were limited to 3000 minutes per month, and to other regions to 30 minutes per day.

Interaction with some services

If there are any additional packages of minutes available on the phone number in the MTS Ukraine network, the daily volumes provided under the “Super MTS 3D Zero” tariff will be used first.

Additional mobile Internet MB packages are not available.
The daily payment for online calls is charged regardless of the availability of other minute packages for the phone number.

Additional cash account funds cannot be used to pay for calls and SMS in the MTS Ukraine network, as well as mobile Internet. You can learn more about the rules for using funds from an additional cash account by contacting the Subscriber Service Center at 111.

Accrual of daily volumes of services

Daily service packages are accrued only if there were no open Internet sessions on your phone from 23:59 to 00:01. If you use the mobile Internet service during the specified period of time, then in order to correctly charge daily volumes of services, please interrupt the Internet session at 23:59 and resume it after 00:01.

Withdrawal of daily and other periodic payments

Periodic payments are also withdrawn in cases where their amount exceeds the account balance. If after withdrawal of payments the account balance becomes zero or negative, the use of services will be resumed after replenishing the account and achieving a positive balance.

Notes

The cost of calls is indicated for the first second of every minute of conversation. Tariffs are indicated in hryvnias, including VAT and the Pension Fund tax, which is 7.5% of the cost of services without VAT, as of 01.09. 2016. The minimum validity period of the tariff is 14 days from the date of its introduction.

From 06/15/15 the tariff is closed for connection and use in the Lviv region.

The price of the starter package and the list of services of the tariff plan includes the GOODOK melody for a period of 30 days from the date of activation of the starter package. After the end of these 30 days, the validity period of such a melody will be automatically extended every 30 days, unless the subscriber refuses the melody by the time the first or each subsequent 30 days of the service are exhausted. At the same time, after the first 30 days of providing the service, a fee for using the service begins to be charged in the amount of 11.69 UAH including VAT and Pension Fund until you cancel the melody yourself. The fee for using the service is calculated on the date of its actual use and is payable in full. To cancel the service, you must send an SMS with the text OFF to number 700.
