Not so long ago, I ran into a problem: I urgently needed to scan copies of documents and upload them in the format PDF in EOS "Dnevnik.ru". And so I began to “surf” the Internet. I invite you to take a look at my discoveries.

STEP 1.

This software product is completely free. The interface is quite simple.

The name of the target document and the path to save it are specified in the first window of the interface. Before starting a scan, you should specify its settings.

There is a choice of color, black and white scanning mode, as well as the ability to adjust the quality of the output file. If you select the “Call dialog” option, a scanner driver window will appear before scanning, for more precise quality settings. Please note that depending on the model and manufacturer of the device, the driver window may look different.

When scanning is completed, the document is automatically saved to the specified path.

WinScan2PDF

This software product is completely free. The interface is a bit more complicated than ScanLite's.

When you click on the "Select source" button, a window appears with a list of connected scanners, from which you need to select the required device.

After selecting a scanner, by pressing the "Scan" button, the process of obtaining an image begins, after which the program prompts you to specify the path to save the file.

WinScan2PDF allows you to create multi-page documents. To do this, select the appropriate option. The interface of the program will change to present a paginated view of the document.

To rotate the page image by 90 degrees, click the "Show Image" button. In the viewing window, select the rotation in the desired direction, and close it. To rotate a page image 180 degrees, select the scanned image, right-click on it, and select Rotate from the context menu. Please note that changing the thumbnail in the WinScan2PDF interface will take quite a long time, but in fact the page will be rotated right away.

To change the position of pages in the final document, you need to select the scanned image, right-click on it and select "Up" or "Down".

Upon completion of editing, you need to click the "Save to PDF" button, the saving process is identical to the one-page mode.

RiDoc

The program is paid and has a trial period of 30 days. The functionality is wider than that of the previously discussed programs - it is possible to save to Word, PDF, the function of sending the final document via e-mail, text recognition capability.

After selecting the device and clicking on the "Scanner" button, the scanner driver window opens, through which the document quality is adjusted. The final quality is configured through the "Merge" menu on the right side of the window. In the same menu, you can add a watermark to a PDF document.

The program provides the ability to change the brightness and contrast of the scanned page. On the left side of the screen is a gallery with all the scans. When you select a specific page and click on the "Brightness-Contrast" icon, a window opens

To change the position of pages in the final document, it is enough to move the page with the mouse to the desired position. At the end of editing the document, click the "Merge" button, wait for the processing to complete and save the document in PDF format. When saving, a dialog box will open where you specify the file name, the path to save it and the saving mode - several single-page documents (“Save as a group of files”), or multi-page mode (“Save in multipage mode”).

VueScan

The program is paid and has a trial period of 30 days. The functionality is the widest in terms of adjusting the quality, color, cropping settings of the original image. There are three interface modes - minimal, default settings and detailed. To scan to PDF, use the default mode.

After scanning each page, it is possible to edit it. To turn or specular reflection you need to select the appropriate item in the "Image" menu. To edit the color of an image, use the "Color" tab.

The "Input" tab allows you to adjust the parameters of the source document. When choosing a device, you must specify the scanning mode - flatbed or autofeed. Media settings are set as needed, scanning resolution - depending on the requirements for the final document. The "Output" tab is needed to adjust the final document - the format and save path, as well as to select a single-page or multi-page mode.

When using single-page mode, the file is created in the specified directory automatically. When scanning multiple pages, confirmation is required that the last page is scanned.
